TIDE’S UPDATE · MAY 14, 2026
The TIDE Saltwater Cup 2026 runner-up teams from St. Benedict R.C. School, both boys and girls, spent an exciting day at PHMR.
Our Education Team introduced the students to the reserve, highlighting its connection to the mainland communities — many of which also participated in the Saltwater Cup — through major rivers such as Golden Stream and the Rio Grande.
The group enjoyed a refreshing swim at the beautiful West Snake Cayes and had the unforgettable experience of encountering a pod of bottlenose dolphins before heading to Punta Ycacos for lunch and relaxation.
Before returning to PG, the students insisted on doing a quick beach cleanup, demonstrating their commitment to protecting the environment.
TIDE would like to thank IUCN Protected and Conserved Areas for making this memorable day possible.
